Ten Gophers Ready for 2025 Men’s NCAA Championships

MINNEAPOLIS - Eight swimmers and two divers will represent the University of Minnesota at the 2025 NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships in Federal Way, Wash.
Washington State University will serve as host of the 2025 NCAA Championships from March 26-29. The meet will be held at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center. Members of the Gopher squad are set to compete Wednesday through Saturday, with prelims starting at 12 p.m. CT and finals at 8 p.m. CT each day (however, there will be no prelims on Wednesday). ESPN+ will be streaming each finals session.
Senior Bar Soloveychik will swim in the 500 free and 1650 free. He is also eligible to swim in the 200 free. Fifth-year Joey Tepper will join Soloveychik in the 1650 free, while also eligible for the 500 free and 400 IM.
Freshman Jacob Johnson will compete in the 200 fly and could also swim in the 100 fly and 50 free. Fellow first-year Joe Polyak is set to participate in the 200 breast, and is eligible for the 200 IM and 100 breast.
Daniel Eichel, Kaiser Neverman, Casey Stowe, and Joe Rudd all qualified as part of relay teams, as Minnesota will take part in the 800 free relay and 400 medley relay.
Sophomore diver YuTong Wang will dive in both the 1-meter and 3-meter after qualifying at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships. He will be joined by senior Drew Bennett in the 1-meter event. Additionally, Bennett will be the lone Gopher diving on platform.
