Gophers To Compete in Colleton River Collegiate Sunday

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota men's golf team is set to compete in the Colleton River Collegiate in Blufton, S.C., March 2-3.
The two-day, 54-hole stroke play tournament will be held at Colleton River Club beginning Sunday with a shotgun start.

The Field:
The Maroon and Gold will be competing against fellow Big Ten rivals Indiana, Iowa, host-Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, and Rutgers. The rest of the field comprises of Cincinnati, East Tennessee State, Georgia Southern, Iowa State, Kansas State, Memphis, Missouri, Tennessee-Chattanooga, and Wake Forest.
The Lineup:
The Gophers lineup features senior Eduardo Galdos, juniors Cormac Sharpe and Jack Wetzel, and freshmen Jack Crousore and Chun-Ta Wu.
The Course:
Colleton River Club was built and designed by the famous golf course architect, Pete Dye, and has played host to numerous major tournaments, including the 2015 U.S. Junior Amateur. The Dye course scores as a par-72 and measures 7,403 yards in length.
