MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. (Nov. 4, 2025) — Gopher Athletics is proud to unveil a redesigned GoldenGopherFund.com -- a more intuitive platform that makes supporting Minnesota student-athletes easier through streamlined donations, more engaging through compelling storytelling, and more impactful by clearly showing the difference your support makes.
The new website serves as the central hub for information about giving opportunities, donor benefits, and the impact of philanthropy on the lives of Gopher student-athletes. With a refreshed design and improved navigation, visitors can explore how contributions through the Golden Gopher Fund help advance the mission of LEAD. INVEST. In addition to showcasing new benefits, the redesigned site highlights special recognition programs such as Next Level Gophers — a new initiative celebrating members who elevate their annual giving. Open to all renewing donors, individuals who increase their support by at least one benefit level higher than the previous year will be recognized as Next Level Gophers and receive exclusive benefits during the 2026-27 academic year.

About the Golden Gopher Fund
The Golden Gopher Fund is the philanthropic arm of Gopher Athletics, supporting more than 600 student-athletes across 22 varsity sports at the University of Minnesota. Gifts to the Golden Gopher Fund provide resources that enable student-athletes to achieve athletic, academic, and personal success while representing the University of Minnesota. During the 2024-25 academic year, close to 9,500 Golden Gopher Fund members generously supported Gopher student-athletes and have collectively given more than $146.4 million over the past four fiscal years.
