Isabelle Schmitz and Nadia Phillips both earned All-Region honors.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Led by sophomore Isabelle Schmitz (19th) and Aidan Jones (30th), both the men and women of the University of Minnesota cross country programs completed their NCAA cross country season on Friday morning in Stillwater, Okla. Schmitz's All-Region performance helped the team finish fifth among 32 women's teams while Jones' 30th-place finish helped Minnesota secure a sixth-place finish among the 31 men's programs.

Schmitz's 19th-place time of 20:50.5 secures the sophomore's second All-Region performance of her young Minnesota career. The Hutchinson, Minn., native has finished inside the top 20 each of her first two cross country seasons, finishing in 19th in 2025 to go with her 15th-place finish in 2024. Nadia Phillips joined Schmitz' with an All-Region performance, the first of her cross country career. Phillips finished 23rd overall in a time of 20:59.9 to secure All-Region honors in her third career appearance at an NCAA regional meet.

The women's top five rounded out with Zoie Dundon's 29th-place performance in a time of 21:12.5, Izzy Roemer's 21:18.4 to finish 35th and Taylor Isabel's 21:26.5 to come across 38th overall at Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course.

Jones nearly matched his 29th-place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional a season ago with his 31:14.2 to finish 30th in 2025. After Jones, Emmett Gerres was second across the line for the Maroon and Gold in a time of 31:25.4 in his first career appearance at the NCAA cross country level and in his first career 10000m collegiate race.

Third in the lineup was redshirt freshman Sam Scott in a time of 31:37.2, which was the seventh-best finish by a freshman at the 2025 NCAA Midwest Regional. Jaedyn Chase (55th, 32:04.1) and Leo Goodman (57th, 32:16.1) rounded out Minnesota's scoring lineup in Stillwater.

Isca Cehlangat of No. 9 Oklahoma State won the women's 6K race in a time of 19:48.4, while OSU won the team title with 55 points. The men's champion on Friday was No. 1 Oklahoma State's Denis Kipngetich in a 10K time of 29:42.8. Oklahoma State claimed the men's team title with 38 points with No. 2 Iowa State close behind in second with 41 team points.
