Minnesota Postgame Quotes
Nov. 29 vs. Michigan State

Opening Statement
“I thought the guys had to dig down deep, especially the young players who hadn’t had much ice time. We were down three bodies to begin the game and then Ryan Stoa gets tossed in the first five minutes. I looked around who’s going to do it for us. I was encouraged by the way we played the second half. I thought we played hard until the very end.”

On Nick Larson and Joe Miller scoring their first goals of the season
“It was nice to see them score. We had to have them score because there weren’t a lot of goal scorers in our lineup tonight. I’m looking down and I see six freshmen forwards of the 11 we had and a lot of them hadn’t been in late-game situations. Every team’s going to face adversity and I thought we could have dug in a little better in our own end. All in all, I thought our guys battled tonight.”

On going down 4-2
“There was one element of the game that I was disappointed in and that was the positioning on some of the goals we gave up. I told our guys to just keep playing. It was great to evaluate some young guys in the heat of battle, who normally wouldn’t be there. For some guys they went up in our eyes and others didn’t.”
