Dr. Carlosjavier Sanchez

Carlosjavier Sanchez, Psy.D. is a Postdoctoral Resident who specializes in counseling and sport psychology. He is a bilingual clinician who can provide services to English and Spanish-speaking individuals. He is originally from Los Angeles, California and completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at California State University, Northridge. He went on to earn his master’s in Sport Psychology and his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy School of Psychology and Social Sciences at National University.
He completed his APA-accredited Internship at the University of the Pacific and completed a dissertation focused on exploring college student-athletes of color experiences with maintaining a social media presence and how it impacted their athletic career and mental health.
Dr. Carlos has a background as a multi-sport athlete, coach, strength and conditioning coach, and athletic training intern. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing board games, watching movies, listening to Jazz and Motown, attending sporting events, trail running, and playing basketball.
