Curtis Simondet, MS, LAT, ATC
Curtis Simondet joined the Athletic Medicine staff at the University of Minnesota as an Assistant Athletic Trainer working primarily with Wrestling in September 2016. Prior to Minnesota, he spent 6 seasons as a Minor League Athletic Trainer with the Minnesota Twins Baseball Club. He finished his time there with the Low A affiliate in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Curtis also spent his off seasons at Sports and Orthopedics Specialists in Edina, MN. 

Simondet graduated from the University of Minnesota – Duluth in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training and a minor in Psychology. He then went on to St. Cloud State University to get a Masters of Science in Sports Medicine with a focus on Biomechanics. His thesis project was regarding the effects of traumatic brain injuries and neurocognitive disorders later in life. While at St. Cloud State, he worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with Wrestling and also worked with Football, Soccer and Softball. 

Curtis holds certifications in M1 Graston Technique ®, Functional Movement Screening level 1, Selective Functional Movement Assessment level 1 and American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider.   He is a Certified Athletic Trainer and a MN State Licensed Athletic Trainer.  

Curtis currently resides in Minneapolis with his wife Alyse.
