2024 Outdoor Track & Field • Junior Season: Named to the Academic All-Big Ten team... Reached the NCAA Outdoor Championships as a member of the Gophers 4x100m relay team, finished 23rd in the NCAA in a time of 44.33 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.... Reached the NCAA West Regional for the second time in her career as an individual, improving from 35th in 2023 to 18th in the first round in 2024 and eventually 20th overall in the second round... Clocked a wind-aided season best (13.31 | +3.0 m/s) at the NCAA West Regional... Helped Minnesota reach the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 4x100m relay with a NCAA West Regional time of 43.81 to finish 11th and advance to Eugene... Had her best finish individually at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in the 100m hurdles, clocking a 13.40 (+1.2 m/s) in the final to finish fifth overall... Earned her first Big Ten medal as a member of the 4x100m relay team, grabbing bronze with a time of 44.39... Was sixth overall at the Desert Heat Classic in Arizona in the 100m hurdles in a time of 13.44 (+1.7 m/s)... 2024 Indoor Track & Field • Junior Season: Raced at a total of six meets during the indoor campaign... Reached her third career Big Ten final, placing ninth in the 60m hurdles for the Golden Gophers in Geneva, Ohio, in a season-best time of 8.38... Won the Jack Johnson Classic 60m hurdles with a time of 8.54... Raced in the 200m twice during the indoor season... Reached the final in every 60m hurdles event she competed in during indoor.

2023 Outdoor Track & Field - Sophomore Season: Participated in several 100m hurdle races this season…Competed at the NCAA West Preliminary Round and placed 35th with a time of 13.73… Finished seventh in the preliminary and final rounds at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships with times of 13.56 in the preliminary round and 13.54 in the final round… Finished in eleventh place in the preliminary round at the Drake Relays with a time of 13.83… Finished first at the Running on Hope Invitational with times of 13.87 in the preliminary round and 13.78 in the final round… Competed in the 100m race at the LSU Alumni Gold meet and finished 39th timed at 12.01; also competed in the 100m hurdle race and finished in eleventh place at 13.72… Finished second at the Jim Click Shootout 2023 Multi meet with a time of 13.37… During the Clyde Hart Classic, Black finished in seventeenth place with a time of 24.60 in the 200m race, finished first in the 100m hurdle race with a time of 13.54, and was disqualified during the 4x100m race… Finished sixth in the 100m hurdle at 13.79 and in second during the 4x100m race with a time of 45.33 at the USF Bulls Invitational.

2023 Indoor Track & Field - Sophomore Season: Placed in eighth in the 60m hurdle races at the Big Ten Indoor Championships with times of 8.30 in the preliminary round and 8.41 in the final round… Finished 26th in the 200m race timed at 25.01 and in tenth during the 4x400m race with a time of 3:52.74 at the Wisconsin Badger’s Windy City Invite II… Also competed in the 60m hurdle races at this meet finishing sixth with a time of 8.42 during the preliminary round and in fourth in the final round with a time of 8.35… Placed eleventh in the 60m race with a time of 7.68, finished fourth in the preliminary 60m hurdle race with a time of 8.52 and in fifth in the final timed at 8.55 during the 2023 Meyo Invitational (ND IND TF)... Finished fifth in the 200m race with a time of 25.01, placed third in the preliminary 60m hurdle race round with a time of 8.43 and in second at 8.39 in the final race during the Cyclone Open… Placed third in the preliminary 60m hurdle race with a time of 8.57 at the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invitational… Finished second at a time of 25.43 in the 200m race; competed in the 60m hurdle races finishing second with a time of 8.45 in the preliminary round and finishing third with a time of 8.50 in the final round at the Ice Breaker Open & Multi.

2022 Indoor Track & Field • Freshman Season: Ran in seven events for the Maroon and Gold in her first season in Minneapolis • Raced at the Big Ten Championships for the Gophers in the 60m hurdles, finishing in 15th in a personal best time of 8.53, the No. 6 best time in school history • Competed for the Gophers for the first time at the SDSU Holiday Open, winning the 60m hurdles in a time of 8.56 • Won the Gopher Classic and the Minnesota Open in the 60m hurdles • Raced in the 200m three times during the indoor season, posting a personal best of 24.94 at the SDSU Holiday Open.

2022 Outdoor Track & Field • Freshman Season: Competed in seven events as a true freshman • Made her outdoor debut at the Black & Gold Invite in the 200m • Ran her first 100m hurdles race at the Tennessee Relays, finishing 16th • Posted her season-best 100m hurdles time at the Big Ten Championships in Minneapolis, clocking a 13.68 for the sixth-fastest time in school history which helped her finish 12th overall in the conference • Won the Kip Janvrin Invite and Tommie Twilight in the 100m hurdles, including clocking a 13.75 at the Tommie Twilight • Won the 100m at the Kip Janvrin Invite in a time of 11.96.

High School: A 2021 graduate of Eastern Guilford High School where she competed for coach Jonathan Sherbourne • also competed for the Platinum Sports Academy • 2021 NCHSAA State Champion in the 100m hurdles, also finishing third in the 100m dash and fourth in the 200m dash • 2020 NCHSAA Indoor State Champion in both the 55m hurdles and 55m dash • holds the North Carolina 3A State record in the 55m hurdles at 7.96 seconds • Greensboro News and Record Athlete of the Year • multi-time AAU All-American • holds high school records in 100m hurdles, 100m and 200m • four-time all-state and all-conference honoree • served as the Student Council President.

Personal: Daughter of Jenean Herbin and Kirk Black • has five siblings, Jakya, Makila, Daviyna, Bryson and Jashawn • has two cousins, Michael Brooks (1989-1995) and Everette Brown (2009-2015) who played professional football for the Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers, respectively • plans to major in biological sciences with a minor in business • makes custom shirts, cups, hats, etc. in her spare time.
