2024 Outdoor Track & Field • Freshman Season: Vaulted in eight more outdoor meets after eight meets during the indoor season... Reached the NCAA West Regional in the pole vault, went on to finish 33rd in first appearance at an NCAA postseason event... Was 12th at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships with a vault of 3.97m (13-0 1/4)... Hit a season-best mark outdoors at the Gary Wilson Invitational, clearing 4.08m (13-4 1/2) to win the event at home... Was second at the 44 Farms Team Invitational in the pole vault with a mark of 4.07m (13-4 1/4)... Qualified for the USA U20 Championships in the pole vault, but was unable to compete due to injury.
2024 Indoor Track & Field - Freshman Season: Participated in eight indoor meets during first season at Minnesota… Posted season-best vault of 4.15m (13-7 1/4) at the Big Ten Indoor Championships to finish seventh overall in her first postseason action... Reached 4.02m (13-2 1/4) in the pole vault at the Snowshoe Open to finish second... Placed third with a mark of 4.00m (13’ 1.5”) at the Simmons-Harvey Meet… Finished first at the mark 3.75 (12’ 3.5) at the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invite… Began her collegiate career finishing first with a mark of 3.77m (12’ 4.5”) at the M City Indoor Classic.
HIGH SCHOOL: Minnesota is excited to welcome the Class AAA back-to-back Minnesota state pole vault champion in Sofia Condon of Anoka High School. Condon continued to improve her senior campaign and reached as high as 4.08m (13-4 3/4) during the 2023 season. Condon competed at countless USATF meets including the USATF Region 8 Junior Olympic Championships in July.
