HIGH SCHOOL
• Graduated from Shorewood High School in 2025
• Earned four varsity letters in swimming with the Greyhounds from 2021 to 2024 for head coach Cassie Rodriguez
• Landed on the All-Woodland Conference Swim Team in both 2022 and 2023
• Named MVP of the Shorewood High School girls' swim team in 2023
• Served as a team captain for the Greyhounds as a senior in 2024
• Won a section title in the 100 freestyle to earn a spot in the 2023 D2 Wisconsin High School State Swimming Championships
• Placed fourth in the 100 freestyle, fifth in the 200 freestyle relay, and eighth in the 50 freestyle at the 2023 state meet
• Was a member of the National Honor Society at SHS
• Also competed with the Milwaukee Rowing Club under the guidance of head coach Roger Huffman
• Won the 2025 Chicago Sprints in the 1V 8+ and placed second in the 1V Novice 8+ at the Head of the Hooch in 2024 during her club tenure
• Prior to beginning her rowing career, swam with the Shorewood Swim Club for 10 years
PERSONAL
• Daughter of Dan and Anna DeWeerdt
• Has an older brother, Hank, and an older sister, Ellie
• Enjoys traveling, swimming in Lake Michigan, and baking in her free time
• Her best experience in the water was swimming with manatees, her favorite water animal, while in Florida
• Chose to attend the University of Minnesota "for the amazing resources and academic support that is provided to student-athletes, and the excellent reputation of the school throughout the Midwest and beyond. Also, I love the feel of a big campus with a lot of school spirit!"
