CAREER NOTES AND HONORS
Skated in 98 games with 22 points (four goals, 18 assists) in three seasons with the program • helped the Gophers earn three-straight Big Ten regular-season championships and the 2015 Big Ten Tournament title as well as two NCAA tournament berths  Academic All-Big Ten (2016, 2017) • Frand Pond Rookie of the Year (2015) • three-year letter winner • signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets following his junior season. 

2016-17 | JUNIOR SEASON
Skated in 37 games during the 2016-17 campaign • picked up nine points (three goals, six assists), matching his career high • also recorded career bests in goals (three) and plus/minus (Plus-12) • Academic All-Big Ten • earned third letter. 

2015-16 | SOPHOMORE SEASON
Skated in 29 games during the 2015-16 campaign • tallied four assists on the season • Academic All-Big Ten honoree • earned second letter.

2014-15 | FRESHMAN SEASON

Named Minnesota’s Frank Pond Rookie of the Year • appeared in 32 games as a freshman • totaled one goal and eight assists for nine points • notched his first collegiate point with an assist in the season opener, a 3-0 win over RPI • tallied his first career mulit-point game with two assists in a 6-2 road victory at Boston College • scored his first collegiate goal in a 6-2 victory against Penn State to help the Gophers clinch the Big Ten regular-season title • earned first letter.

INTERNATIONAL
A product of the U.S. National Development Team Program in Ann Arbor • represented the U.S. at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship in Toronto and Montreal • earned a gold medal with Team USA at the 2014 IIHF Under-18 World Championship in Lappeenranta, Finland • also earned bronze medals at the 2013 Five Nations Tournament in Finland and the 2013 World Under-17 Challenge in Canada • played on the U.S. Under-18 Team at the 2013 Four Nations Tournament in Turku, Finland.

HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIORS
Spent two years with the U.S. National Development Team Program in Ann Arbor, playing in 38 USHL games during the 2012-13 season and 26 USHL games during the 2013-14 season • also skated in 18 games with the U.S. Under-17 Team in 2012-13 • skated in 33 games with the U.S. U-18 team, during the 2013-14 campaign • played high school hockey at Benilde-St. Margaret's and helped the team win the 2012 MSHSL Class AA State Championship • played with Gophers teammate Jack Glover at BSM and with the USNDTP, also played with Gophers teammate Hudson Fasching with the USNDTP.

Born May 6, 1996 • son of Dan and Lisa Collins • has one sister, Megan • drafted 47th overall (second round) in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets • was ranked 57th among North American skaters in the 2014 NHL Central Scouting final rankings • participated in the 2013 CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects game in Pittsburgh.
