Appeared in five games as a freshman for the Gophers • made his collegiate debut in the season opener -- a 3-0 win over RPI.
JUNIORS
Spent two seasons in the NAHL before joining the Gophers • earned All-NAHL North Division honors in 2013-14 as a member of the Janesville Jets • played in 57 regular-season games for Janesville in 2013-14 and totaled 47 points (24 goals, 23 assists) • his 24 goals led the Jets and tied for 10th among all NAHL scorers • his 47 points ranked second at Janesville and tied for 22nd in the NAHL • split the 2012-13 season between the Fairbanks Ice Dogs and the Soo Eagles • totaled 25 points (10 goals, 15 assists) in the regular season • also recorded three assists in nine career NAHL playoff games • played 16 games in the USHL during the 2011-12 season with the Sioux City Musketeers, recording one goal • previously skated with the Troja-Ljungby organization in Sweden.

Born June 11, 1993 • son of Stefan and Laila Hoglund • has one younger brother, Johan • joins teammate and fellow Sweden native Leon Bristedt as well as NHL players Erik Haula and Thomas Vanek as the only non-North Americans to skate at Minnesota.
