Native of Plymouth, Minn. • son of Lance and Lisa (Wittwer) Pitlick • father was a defenseman for the Gophers from 1986-90 (captain in 1989-90) and skated in 144 career games with 39 points (10 goals, 29 assists) before an eight-year career in the NHL with Ottawa and Florida • mother was a two-time Big Ten champion gymnast for the Gophers (team MVP in 1988) and went on to compete with USA Gymnastics • cousin, Tyler Pitlick, played at Minnesota State and skates in the Dallas Stars organization • selected in the third round (76th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft by the Nashville Predators.
