• Took the ice in all 40 games in his third season at Minnesota and was one of seven skaters to play every contest
• Recorded 18 points for the year on two goals and 16 assists
• All four of his multi-point outings came during an 11-game stretch from Nov. 23 to Jan. 11 with the team winning all four games
• Secured a season-long, four-game point streak between Jan. 10-18
• Finished the season with five power-play points behind a goal and four assists, including a goal in a road tie at Michigan State (Jan. 25)
• Tied for the Gophers' lead with 13 assists during league play and finished with 15 points in 24 Big Ten Conference outings
• Ranked third on the team by blocking 48 shots, including a season-best four in games against Bemidji State (Nov. 14) and at Michigan (Feb. 15)

• Skated in 38 games with the Gophers in his second season of college hockey
• Closed the year with 20 points, second among Minnesota defensemen, behind two goals and 18 assists
• Was the first Gopher defenseman in nearly 20 years, since Alex Goligoski in 2004-05 and 2005-06, to register 20 or more points in his first two NCAA campaigns
• Scored a goal in back-to-back outings for the first time in his career, coming in both games of a home series against No. 16 Michigan (Mar. 1-2) to close the regular season
• Finished with two multi-point performances, once with a pair of assists at home versus Ohio State (Jan. 20) and the other against Michigan (Mar. 2) with a goal and an assist
• Twice reached a career-long point streak of five games, coming Nov. 24 to Dec. 8 and Mar. 1 to 16
• Had an assist in four of five postseason contests, tying for second on the team in postseason scoring
• Finished the season ranked third for the Gophers by blocking 50 shots
• Was a plus-11 for the season, including a team-best plus-12 rating during Big Ten Conference play

• Recorded 21 points behind five goals and 16 assists with nine points (three goals, six assists) coming on the power play
• First Gophers defenseman to reach the 20-point mark as a freshman since Erik Johnson had 24 points in 2006-07
• Ranked fifth in the NCAA and second in the Big Ten Conference for points by a freshman defenseman (21)
• Picked up his first point with the Maroon and Gold against Lindenwood (Oct. 2) getting an assist
• Tallied four games with multiple points, including a pair of season-high, three-point efforts against Michigan (Nov. 17) and Boston Univ. (Apr. 6)
• Scored his lone game-winning goal in the NCAA Frozen Four victory over Boston Univ. (Apr. 6) during the first multi-goal performance of his career as he scored twice in a span of 1:49 in the third period
• Recorded four points in four NCAA Tournament appearances with three goals and an assist
• Shined during B1G play, recording 15 points in 22 league games
• Assisted on his brother John's first-career NCAA goal at Ohio State (Oct. 28)

• All-USHL First Team selection in 2021-22 while playing for the Madison Capitols and reached the Clark Cup final
• Named the USHL's Defenseman of the Week four times, more than any other blueliner in the league during the 2021-22 campaign
• Posted 19 goals and 36 assists for 55 points in 60 games leading the team in scoring
• Finished third in scoring and goals among all USHL defensemen
• His 13 powerplay tallies was tied for the fourth-best mark in the entire league
• Tallied 13 multi-point games for the Capitols
• Recorded nine points (five goals, four assists) in 14 playoff appearances in the 2021-22 season
• Played 12 games with the Lincoln Stars in 2020-21 after the high school season ended and posted three points
• Played three prep hockey seasons at Eden Prairie High School and totaled 102 points across 86 games
• Won a Minnesota Class 2A state championship with the Eagles in 2020-21 after a runner-up finish in both 2018-19 and 2019-20
• Named a finalist for the 2021 Minnesota Mr. Hockey Award
• Registered 35 points in 24 games in his final prep season with nine goals and 26 assists
 
INTERNATIONAL
• Helped Team USA to a bronze medal at the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship in eastern Canada
• Appeared in all seven games along the blue line for the Americans totaling three points
• Posted a three-point performance versus Germany during the quarterfinals Jan. 2

• Son of Tom and Dede Mittelstadt
• Has two brothers, Casey and John
• Drafted in the seventh round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft (197th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens
• Older brother, Casey, played for the Gophers in 2017-18 and has tallied nearly 200 appearances with the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL
• Older brother, John, came to Minnesota as his teammate in the same freshman class and played two years together with him at Eden Prairie High School
