2025 Outdoor Track & Field • Redshirt Freshman Season: Earned a spot on the Academic All-Big Ten team... Reached the NCAA West Regional in his first season in uniform in the 3000m steeplechase... Finished 32nd overall in the 3000m steeplechase at the NCAA West Regional in Bryan-College Station after entering the meet seeded 36th... Ran to a 3000m steeplechase lifetime best time of 8:48.10 at the 2025 Big Ten Outdoor Championships and finished ninth overall... Was 16th overall at the Raleigh Relays 3000m steeplechase in a then-personal best time of 8:50.59... Opened his season at the Arizona Spring Break Fiesta in the 800m with a time of 1:52.26 to finish second... Also ran the 3000m steeplechase at the 2025 Bryan Clay Invitational (8:51.23) and Hamline's 'Meet of the UnSaintly' (9:01.60).

2024 Cross Country • Redshirt Freshman Season: Named to the Academic All-Big Ten team... Competed in four cross country meets in uniform for the Golden Gophers... Clocked a 5K lifetime best time of 16:07.2 at the Oz Memorial to open the season, finishing fourth... Ran to an 8K personal best time of 24:49.8 at the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invite, crossing the line seventh among the Gophers and 100th overall... Also ran at the Roy Griak Invitational and the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals, both 8K distances.

2024 Outdoor Track & Field • Freshman Season: Ran four times during the outdoor season, all as an unattached competitor... Ran the 3000m steeplechase twice, posting the best time of the season at the Gary Wilson Invitational at 9:01.77 to finish sixth... Won the 1500m at the Bethel Invitational in a time of 3:53.93... Was third at the UW-La Crosse Eagle Open in the 5000m in a time of 14:23.07.

2023 Cross Country • Freshman Season: Competed in three meets during the cross country season, all unattached... Opened the season at the Oz Memorial (5K)... Ran the Griak Invitational (8K)... Competed at Rocky's Run.

HIGH SCHOOL: Staying home is the 2023 Class AA Minnesota State Champion in the 3200m, Emmett Gerres... Breaking the meet record in a time of 9:03.72, Gerres' time was also a lifetime best in the event by almost 14 seconds... Gerres' state title was the first of his career and followed it up with a runner-up finish in the 1600m... The year prior Gerres was the state runner-up in both the 1600m and the 800m... The talented local product also was the state's cross country champion at the 5000m distance in 2022... He led the boys program to their first appearance at the state cross country meet in history and led them to a seventh-place finish.
