MINNEAPOLIS – Senior Cameron Stocke was named the Big Ten Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday. The Virginia, Minn., native finished first at the Warrior Invitational hosted by Winona State last Friday.

A graduate of Rock Ridge High School, Stocke clocked a time of 25:32.5 to finish atop the 85-runner field with a 13.3-second advantage over runner-up Jack Kendall of Minnesota State. He led a group of four Gopher competitors who finished in the top nine in the race.

This is the first weekly honor for Stocke and the first for a Gopher since Noah Kohut-Jackson was honored on September 4, 2024.

The #21 Gopher Men's Cross Country team will travel to Madison for Friday's Big Ten Championships. The 6K women's race featuring #25 Minnesota will begin at 10:35 AM followed by the men's 8K race at 11:35 AM.
