2023-24 Freshman Season: Outstanding Student-Athlete Award winner at team banquet... Big Tens: swam the 200 free (1:49.78), 500 free (4:52.72) and 1650 free (17:19.48)... Purdue/Iowa/Northwestern Quad-Dual: finished sixth in both the 500 free (4:55.19) and 1000 free (10:05.86)... Pitt Dual: placed fourth in both the 200 free (1:54.35) and the 500 free (5:09.17)... Tampa Dual: won the 200 free (1:53.79) and 500 free (5:03.25)... Minnesota Invite: came in 10th in the 1650 free (17:08.78) and 500 free (4:52.71) and 13th in the 200 free (1:49.67)... Wisconsin Dual: captured seventh in both the 200 free (1:53.71) and 500 free (5:05.72)... St. Thomas/South Dakota State Tri-Dual: won the 500 free (5:01.01) and got third in the 200 free (1:53.06)... SMU Dual: came in third in both the 200 free (1:53.82) and 1000 free (10:32.06)... High School: Attended Iowa City West High School · named Iowa City West Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Most Valuable Swimmer and Mississippi Valley Conference Athlete of the Year · three-time member of the High School Elite All-State team · five-time NICSA high school All-American · six-time first-team all-state member · runner-up at the High School State swim meet in both the 200 and 500 freestyle · state champion and record holder in the 200 free relay and 400 free relay · swam at the Iowa Flyers Swim Club and earned two medals at Futures as well as qualified for Winter Juniors.
Personal: Daughter of Robert Roghair and Pei-fen Chou Roghair · sister, Jasmine, swam at Truman State University · sister, Ariel, swam at Macalester College · sister, Aurora, swam at Stanford University · hobbies include baking, art and traveling.
Why Minnesota? I chose Minnesota because of the variety of majors, research opportunities and resources available for academics. I wanted to stay within the Big Ten and the entire team at Minnesota immediately made me feel at home with an incredible staff, drive and energetic atmosphere.
