PRONUNCIATION

OVERVIEW: Enrolled at Minnesota in June 2025 with two seasons of playing eligibility remaining • spent one season (2024) at UCLA, one season (2023) at Northern Arizona and one season (2022) at Arizona State (he did not play football at Arizona State). 

PREVIOUS SCHOOLS: UCLA: Spent the 2024 season at UCLA and served as the team’s primary punter • started 11 of the 12 games he competed in • punted 40 times for 1,712 yards (42.8 yards per punt) • placed 17 punts inside the 20-yard line and 15 of his punts were fair caught • had five punts of 50 yard or greater and connected on a season-long punt of 61 yards at LSU. NORTHERN ARIZONA: Spent the 2023 season at Northern Arizona and made five starts • punted 24 times for 1,039 yards (43.3 yards per punt) • landed eight punts inside the 20-yard line and nine punts were fair caught • had seven punts of more than 50 yards and longest punt of the season was 56 yards against UC Davis. ARIZONA STATE: Attended Arizona State in 2022, but did not play football.    

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Veritas Preparatory Academy in Phoenix, Arizona and was coached by Jason Black • only played football during his senior year • earned four letters each in soccer and swimming and earned one letter each in football, baseball, and track and field. 

PERSONAL: Son of Marc and Dawn Richter • has one brother (Caden) • Godfather, Mario Bates, played college football at Arizona State and then played in the NFL with the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals and Detroit Lions
