BEFORE MINNESOTA: Native of Eagan, Minnesota and graduate of St. Thomas Academy · in 2023 Dobis posted an impressive 5-1 record on the mound, 0.70 ERA, 57 strikeouts, through 49 innings · at the plate the team captain hit .321, collecting 21 RBI, 10 doubles, two home runs, and five stolen base which led him to be named all-conference and all-metro · as a member of Minnesota MASH he was named a four time WWBA All-Tournament selection and two-time Perfect Game Preseason Underclass All-American · in 2023 he tallied 103 strikeouts, holding opponents to a .153 BAA and 0.82 ERA in 74 innings of work · at the plate he collected 31 hits (18 for extra bases) and maintained a .329 average through the year.

When I had my first calls with coach Ty McDevitt, it felt as if he did not just care about me as a baseball player, but also as a person. Lastly, I chose Minnesota because of the strong academics and connections that the University offers."
