WHY MINNESOTA: "I felt right at home at Minnesota and knew this would be a very good fit for me. The opportunity to play in front of friends and family was extremely important to me.  Also, the number of professional baseball players that have come out of the Gophers program during coach Anderson's years is remarkable. Most importantly, the Gopher baseball coaches have created a culture and atmosphere that lines up well with my interests and values. As a student-athlete, I know that playing for the Gophers would allow me the environment to excel at the game while providing a great education when my playing days are over in a market that's filled with Fortune 500 companies."
