Letterwinner ? missed majority of the non-conference season due to a wrist injury ? named a Big Ten Conference Preseason Player to Watch ? received David Chelesnik award for overcoming adversity and demonstrating determination ? Big Ten Sportsmanship award honoree ? batted .261 with 9 runs batted in, 12 runs scored, 4 doubles, and a .358 on base percentage? Had 7 multiple-hit games, and 2 multi-RBI games ? Went 1-for-4 with an RBI and one run scored against Northwestern (4/15) ? Was 1-for-2 with two runs scored against Nebraska-Omaha (4/17) ? Went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI at Michigan State (4/21) ? Batted .278 with 36 runs, 11 doubles, 39 RBI and four home runs ? went 3-for-4 with one RBI against No. 11 Louisville on Feb. 28 ? went 2-for-5 with two RBI against Oklahoma State on March 6 ? went 3-for-5 with two RBI, two runs and a stolen base against Purdue on April 3 ? had a seven-game hitting-streak (from Apr. 2-Apr. 11), which has raised his average from .253 to .285 ? had 17 multi-hit games ? was 7-for-11 with six RBI in a weekend series at Northwestern (Apr. 16-18) ? went 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored against Indiana on April 23 ? was 2-for-5 with two RBI and his first homerun of the season against Iowa on May 1 ? went 4-for-6 with four RBI, two home runs, and four runs scored against Ohio State on May 20 ? was 1-for-4 with one RBI and a home run against No. 7 Cal State Fullerton in the NCAA Regional Championship on June 7.

2009 ? FRESHMAN SEASON:
Batted .229 with 43 runs, 10 doubles, 19 RBI and seven stolen bases ? led the team with 38 walks and had a .379 on-base percentage ? batted .257 with 23 runs, 11 RBI and three doubles in Big Ten play ? drew 13 walks and had a .395 on-base percentage in conference play ? reached base in 48 of 59 games ? drew walks in 29 contests ? reached base three times and was 1-for-2 with two runs and a stolen base against UC Santa Barbara on Feb. 27 ? went 1-for-4 with two RBI, a run and a double against No. 11 TCU on Mar. 14 ? was 1-for-2 with three runs against Ohio State on Apr. 5 ? went 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs and three RBI against Illinois on Apr. 17 ? went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a double against Illinios on Apr. 18 ? had career-highs in at-bats (7), hits (4), runs (4) and RBI (4) against Iowa on May 2, and collected his only home run of the season in that game ? went 2-for-3 with two runs, an RBI and a double at Penn State on May 14 ? was 1-for-3 with two runs against Baylor on May 31.

2008 SEASON:
Redshirted the 2008 season.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Graduated from Eden Prairie High School ? high school coaches were Mike Grant and Mike Halloran ? helped lead Eden Prairie to a sectional title and to a secondplace finish in the state tournament ? batted .472 with seven home runs and 31 RBI as a senior ? named All- State as a senior and All-Conference as a junior and senior ? helped lead his team to a conference title as a junior ? received the Conley Engstrom Award in 2007 ? led his Legion team to the World Series in 2007 and was named to the All-Tournament team ? guided them to three state titles, three regional appearances, one regional title and runner-up in the World Series in 2007 ? hit .489 with 12 home runs, 91 RBI, 31 doubles, 31 walks, and an .821 slugging percentage for Legion team in 2007 ? played safety for the Eden Prairie's State Championship football team in 2006.

PERSONAL:
Majoring in Business and Marketing Education ? son of Chris and Julie Geason ? father played for Augsburg and was drafted by the Minnesota Twins ? lists winning the Big Ten Championship and Tournament in 2010 as his biggest sports thrill ? likes to snowboard, play the drums, wakeboard and go to the cabin in his spare time ? has two older sisters Jenna and Lindsay ? born on March 9, 1989.
