2017Â - SENIOR SEASON:
Made eight starts in 23 games - had a .200 batting average, two doubles, three RBIs and five walks - Academic All-Big Ten. Game Highlights: Recorded one RBI vs Seattle U (2/24) - smacked a RBI double then scored vs Seattle U (2/25) - was 1-1 with a double, one walk and on run scored vs Seattle U (2/26) - recorded a RBI single vs South Dakota State (3/7) - went 2-3 with one walk and scored one run vs Missouri State (3/12) - smacked a single at Ohio State (3/24) - was 1-1 at Penn State (5/6) - had one hit and one walk vs Rutgers (5/16).
2016 SUMMER BASEBALL:
Was on the opening day roster for the Rochester Honkers - played 19 games for the Rockford Rivets of the Northwoods League - scored five runs and drove in two RBIs.
2016 - JUNIOR SEASON:
Hit .370 in 18 games played and made six starts in both the outfield and as a designated hitter - racked up 10 hits, including a double and one home run - recorded six RBI and swiped a base - hit .333 in conference action - Academic All-Big Ten. Game Highlights: Saw pinch-hit appearances versus Utah Valley (2/20) and Utah (2/21) - earned start as designated hitter at Campbell (2/28) - hit a pinch-hit single in the ninth inning at Seattle U (3/11) - went 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, a double and hit his first career home run (a two-run blast) at Utah Valley (3/18-3/20) - laced a pinch-hit single against Augsburg (3/22) - started as the designated hitter, notched a single and later scored a run in the series-clinching win at No. 23 Missouri State (3/26) - recorded back-to-back games with pinch-hit singles versus Saint Mary's (3/30) and Iowa (4/3) - scored as a pinch-runner against Northern Illinois (4/6) - appeared in the outfield against North Dakota State (4/19) and as a pinch-hitter at Northwestern (4/23) - secured a season-best three RBI in a start at North Dakota State (4/26) - saw action in the outfield in wins at Illinois (5/1) and versus Kansas (5/4) - drew a pinch-hit at-bat in the Big Ten Tournament against Iowa (5/25).
2015 SUMMER BASEBALL:
Played for the Wisconsin Woodchucks in the Northwoods League - appeared in 11 games and hit .310, which was the third-highest mark on the team - slugged at a .357 clip and held an on-base percentage of .370 - recorded 13 hits, including a pair of doubles - scored six runs and plated five.
2015 - SOPHOMORE SEASON:
Played in 24 games in the outfield and as designated hitter - batted .156 with two runs and an RBI in 32 at-bats - Academic All-Big Ten. Game Highlights: Had one run and one RBI at Creighton (3/8) - went 1-for-3 against James Madison (3/13) - scored a run vs. Penn State (4/17) - 1-for-1 against Kansas State (4/29) - collected two hits in the UC Irvine series (5/1-5/3).
2014 - FRESHMAN SEASON:
Hit .310 in 58 at-bats - had a .765 on-base + slugging percentage - made starts at DH, left field and catcher - tied for third on the team with a hitting streak of eight games (4/6-26) - Academic All-Big Ten. Game Highlights: Had first career two-RBI game in a win over Coastal Carolina (3/8) - Hit 3-for-4 with three runs and an RBI at St. Mary's (3/19) - hit an RBI double and walked in the series finale at Michigan (4/6) - had another RBI double three days later in a loss to South Dakota State (4/9) - in a start as designated hitter, drove in a run against Iowa (4/19) - had a pinch hit against Penn State (4/26) - was 2-for-2 with two runs and a double against Purdue (5/9).
2013:
Redshirted the season.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Graduated from La Cresent High School in 2012 - named an All-State selection both his senior and junior years - held a single-season .495 batting average, 22 runs batted in, two home runs in 99 at bats and stole 35 bases - Under-Armor Preseason All-American as a junior - Winona Daily News Player of the Year as a junior when he hit .457 with 43 hits and scored 40 runs in 29 games - LaCresent's career leader, with 30 stolen bases as a freshman, 33 as a sophomore, and 25 as a junior - four-time all-conference selection - helped lead La Crescent baseball to a Class AA state championship (2009), a state runner-up and three state appearances - finished his high school career as a 13-time letterwinner (four in baseball, four in hockey and five in football) - also all-conference selections in both football and hockey and played for the La Crescent Legion Team - also on the football all-state academic team.
PERSONAL:
Business and Marketing Education major - born September 18, 1993 - son of Russ and Kristi Traxler - is the third member of the family to attend the University of Minnesota as his parents are graduates - has two older siblings, Trent and Tracy.
