2017 - SENIOR
SEASON:
Made two starts in 19 appearances where he had a 4-4 record - posted a 3.88 ERA with 32 strikeouts as opponents had a .250 batting average against him - tossed 6.2 innings in the Big Ten Tournament where he only allowed one run on two hits and struck out four batters - Academic All-Big Ten. Game Highlights:  Picked up his first win of the season in 3.2 innings of relief vs Seattle U (2/24) where he struck out three batters - made a four inning start vs Hawaii (3/2) where he allowed three runs on six hits and picked up three strikeouts - allowed only one hit vs Missouri State (3/10) while striking out two batters - struck out one batter in 1.1 innings at Ohio State (3/24) - tossed two scoreless innings at Michigan State (4/1) - only allowed one hit in one inning of work at NDSU (4/11) - struck out one batter in two innings of work at Indiana (4/15) - recorded three strikeouts in 2.2 hitless innings vs South Dakota State (4/18) - struck out two batters and allowed on run in two innings vs Nebraska (4/23) - threw three innings of relief vs Georgia State (5/3) where he struck out three batters - rang up two batters in two scoreless innings vs No. 10 Long Beach State (5/13) - made his second start of the season vs Rutgers (5/16) where he struck out a season high four batters in 5.1 innings - only allowed one earned run vs Northwestern (5/26) in the Big Ten Tournament - struck out three batters in 2.2 hitless innings vs Iowa (5/27) in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament.

2016 SUMMER BASEBALL:
Made six starts for the Willmar Stingers of the Northwoods League - pitched 37 innings where he had a 4-1 record with a 3.40 ERA and 30 strikeouts.

2016 - JUNIOR SEASON:
Appeared in 17 games and had six starts on the hill - maintained a 4-2 record and struck out 36 in 56.0 innings - tied for the lowest mark on the team with 11 walks - in six appearances in Big Ten play, held a 1.12 ERA with 14 strikeouts compared to just two walks in 16.0 innings of work - went six appearances (16.2 innings) without allowing an earened run -  Academic All-Big Ten. Game Highlights: Got the nod on the mound and went 4.0 innings, allowing three earned runs against Oregon State (2/21) - earned the win in 6.0 innings of work with four strikeouts at Campbell (2/28) - tossed 5.0 innings and struck out three in start at Georgia State (3/6) - threw a season-high 6.1 innings and totaled four strikeouts with just two earned runs at Seattle U (3/14) - made the start and went 3.0 innings with two strikeouts in series finale at Utah Valley (3/20) - competed at No. 23 Missouri State (3/26) and threw 2.2 innings allowing only one hit and struck out one - tossed 4.1 shutout innings of relief and struck out a career-best six versus Iowa (4/3) - threw 3.0 frames without allowing a run and struck out three to key series victory at No. 25 Michigan (4/8) - did not allow a baserunner in 1.0 inning of work against North Dakota State (4/19) - struck out three in 3.0 innings out of the bullpen at North Dakota State (4/26) - kept the opposition off the board in 1.1 innings of work to secure series win at Illinois (5/1) - earned the win in a start that featured two strikeouts in 2.0 frames against Kansas (5/4) - hurled the final 5.0 stanzas in a relief spot and allowed just three baserunners with four strikeouts to guide team to series-opening victory at Purdue (5/14) - tossed 2.0 flawless frames that included a strikeout in relief appearance against Ohio State (5/21) - threw 2.2 innings out of the bullpen in the Big Ten Tournament opening round matchup with Iowa (5/25) - scattered two hits in 4.1 frames and struck out two in a relief appearance at Texas A&M (6/5).

2015 SUMMER BASEBALL:
Played for the Willmar Stingers in the Northwoods League - made 11 starts on the mound and maintained a 3.39 ERA with a 5-3 record - hurled 66.1 innings and struck out 46 compared to just 15 walks - ERA mark was team's lowest among starters - held opponents to a .240 batting average.

2015 - SOPHOMORE SEASON:
Held a 4.82 ERA in 14 relief pitching appearances - batted .185 in 27 at-bats, as a first baseman and designated hitter - struck out nine batters and walked seven in 18.2 innings - scored three runs, drove in three and hit one home run - Academic All-Big Ten. Game Highlights: Threw a season-high 2.2 innings in relief, allowing one earned run in his first appearance at Texas (2/22) - pitched the eighth inning of Minnesota's combined no-hitter at Creighton (3/8) - struck out two in 1.0 inning pitched against Monmouth (3/15) - hit his first career home run, and went 1-for-4 with two RBIs at Richmond (3/17) - picked up a save at Rutgers (4/4) - earned a save with 1.2 innings pitched against Penn State (4/18) - went 1-for-2 with a run and a walk against Michigan (4/26) - went 1.0 scoreless at Iowa (5/8) and 2.0 scoreless against Michigan State (5/15).

2014 - FRESHMAN SEASON:

Started 13 games, eight at first base - batted .184 in 38 at-bats - had a fielding percentage of .955 in 66 chances. Game Highlights: hit 2-for-3 with two RBIs in his debut against Northern Illinois (2/15) - made three starts at Northwestern (3/22-23), going 3-10 (.300) in the series win - picked up an RBI against Michigan State (3/29) - went 1-for-2 with a walk against Concordia-Moorhead (3/7) - pitched in six games with a 3-0 record - had a 3.77 ERA in 14.1 innings - received his first career win by holding Creighton without a run in 2.1 innings pitched (2/21) - allowed one earned run in 2.0 innings pitched versus Michigan State (4/5) - made a start against Augsburg (5/6), allowing no runs and two hits, while striking out two.

HIGH SCHOOL:

Graduated from Burnsville High School in 2013 - played for coach Mike Scholl - all-state, All-South Suburban Conference, and a Mr. Baseball finalist - batted .424 as a senior with two homeruns and 20 RBI, adding two wins on the mound - played for the East in the Play Ball! Minnesota High School All-Star Series - in summer 2013, named regional MVP after leading the Burnsville Cobras to the American Legion World Series - was 10-1 pitching over the summer in 2013 - part of Burnsville's 2011 state championship team - Burnsville won back-to-back conference titles in 2011 and 2012 - batted .433 with 18 doubles and held a 7-1 pitching record with a .54 ERA and .87 WHIP during 2012 Legion ball.

PERSONAL:
Sports Management major - son of Ed and Becky Hanson - has a younger brother, Eric - was a high school teammate of current Gophers Matt Stemper and Dan Motl - lists Burnsville's 2011 state title as his most memorable sports thrill - enjoys watching movies and TV, and can juggle - born July 29, 1994.
