2016 - JUNIOR SEASON:
Named the Big Ten Player of the Year and All-Big Ten First Team - led the team with 87 hits, 47 runs, 125 total bases and 14 stolen bases - slugged .525 and reached base at a .411 clip - hit or reached base in 53 of 58 games played - paced the club with 28 multi-hit games and had nine games with two-plus RBI - served as team's Friday night starter and went 7-4 with a 4.32 ERA and had 65 strikeouts - held opponents to a .261 batting average - tabbed as the Paul Molitor Batting Champion Award and Richard "Chief" Siebert Memorial MVP Award recipient - Academic All-Big Ten. Game Highlights: Threw 5.2 innings with three strikeouts and also went 3-for-4 from the plate with an RBI in the season opener versus Utah (2/19) - notched an RBI-single in a 2-for-4 performance against Utah Valley (2/20) - hit 3-for-5 and scored twice in contests with Oregon State (2/21) and Campbell (2/26) - struck out a career-high eight batters in 5.2 innings of work at Campbell (2/26) - tossed a complete-game shutout, allowed just two hits and faced 29 batters in 3-0 win at Georgia State (3/4) - registered a 3-for-5 performance with two runs at Georgia State (3/6) - recorded six hits, including two doubles, with six runs and tossed 4.1 innings with three strikeouts at Seattle U (3/11-3/16) - threw 6.0 innings and struck out five while allowing two runs and went 1-for-3 at the plate that included a three-run home run in win at Utah Valley (3/18) - hit 3-for-5 with a double, run and RBI at Utah Valley (3/20) - notched two hits and stole a base against Augsburg (3/22) - hit an RBI double and threw 4.0 innings with three strikeouts at No. 23 Missouri State (3/25) - drilled two singles and scored twice versus Saint Mary's (3/30) - went 7.0 innings, allowing just three hits and one run while striking out six, and hit 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI single and two runs against Iowa (4/1) - tallied five hits, including two homers, to go along with five RBI in doubleheader split with Iowa (4/3) - was named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week for his efforts against Iowa and Saint Mary's (4/4) - notched a pair of hits and scored once versus Northern Illinois (4/6) - earned win on the mound after tossing 6.0 innings with one earned run and four strikeouts at No. 25 Michigan (4/8) - laced two hits, including an RBI double on the back end of the twin bill at No. 25 Michigan (4/8) - went 2-for-2 with an RBI single and a run scored against South Dakota State (4/12) - struck out four in 5.2 innings on the mound and drilled two doubles versus Maryland (4/15) - went 2-for-4 with a run to extend his hitting streak to 11 games in the second matchup with Maryland (4/16) - laced an RBI single and scored a run at North Dakota State (4/26) - earned the win on the bump after tossing 7.0 innings with two strikeouts and allowing only one earned run at Illinois (4/29) - reached base seven times, including five singles, while adding a pair of RBI in series win at Illinois (4/29-5/1) - racked up a 6-for-11 performance that included two home runs, five RBI and four runs in midweek series sweep against Kansas (5/3-5/4) - launched a two-run home run and tossed 3.1 innings with three strikeouts versus Indiana (5/6) - earned the win on the mound by throwing 6.2 innings with five strikeouts and just two earned runs, while launching a two-run roundtripper in a 4-3 win at Purdue (5/13) - struck out seven in 6.1 innings to open series versus Ohio State (5/19) - capped a mini five-game hitting streak with a 2-for-5 performance in the series finale that included a double against Ohio State (5/21) - tallied a single and drew a walk in the Big Ten Tournament versus Michigan (5/26) - drilled a two-run home run against Wake Forest (6/3) - laced an RBI double and scored a run versus Binghamton (6/4) - picked up two hits, two runs and a stolen base in a matchup with Wake Forest (6/5) - struck out two in 4.0 innings of work on the mound at Texas A&M (6/5).

SUMMER BASEBALL:
Played for the Rochester Honkers in the Northwoods League - tied for fourth in the league with a .344 batting average in 43 games of action - slugged at a .558 clip after accumulating eight home runs and six doubles - touted 37 RBI and crossed the plate 28 times - made 12 appearances on the mound and threw 52.2 innings - tallied 50 strikeouts and held opponents to a batting average of .240 - named Summer Collegiate All-American by Perfect Game - participated in the NWL Major League Showcase.

2015 - SOPHOMORE SEASON:
Selected as the Dug Out Club Dianne Olson-Ficenko Player of the Year - named to the John Olerud Watch List (two-way player of the year) - played in all 51 games (50 starts) as a right fielder, designated hitter and pitcher - batted .310 with a .367 on-base percentage and led the Gophers with 62 hits, 37 runs, 31 RBIs, 18 walks, five outfield assists and 18 stolen bases on 22 attempts - hit seven doubles, two triples and four home runs and slugged .425 - struck out just 15 times in 200 at-bats - turned in 16 multi-hit games and seven multi-RBI games - in Big Ten play, led the Gophers with 21 runs, 12 walks and 11 steals on 12 tries - held a team-low 2.86 ERA in 22 innings pitched, primarily out of the bullpen, holding opposing batters to a .173 average - made 15 appearances, including one start, and tallied 20 strikeouts and 19 walks - made six straight appearances without a run (2/22-3/28) and five straight appearances without allowing a hit (3/1-3/28) - ranked third in the Big Ten in steals through the regular season, and second in steals in conference play - Academic All-Big Ten. Game Highlights: Threw 2.1 shutout innings with one hit, three strikeouts and three walks at Texas (2/22) - hit 3-for-5 with three RBIs, two runs, a triple and his first career home run at FGCU (2/28) - picked up his first career save ag FGCU (3/1) - went 7-for-11 with five runs in two games at Creighton (3/7-3/8): was 4-for-6 with three runs and a triple in the first and 3-for-5 with a double in the second - hit 2-for-3 with two walks, two stolen bases, two RBIs and a run scored against James Madison (3/13) - went 3-for-3 with a walk, two RBIs and a run scored against Monmouth (3/15) - hit 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs and a season-high four RBIs at Richmond, where he also pitched two shutout innings (3/17) - went 2-for-5 with an RBI, stolen base, and three runs scored at Maryland, also pitching a shutout inning (3/21) - went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a stolen base in a win over St. John's (3/31) - went 2-for-4 including a home run and double at Rutgers (4/4) - walked three times against Penn State (4/18) - 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two stolen bases the next day (4/19) - drove in the winning run in the ninth against South Dakota State (4/22) - went 2-for-4 with a run against UC Irvine (5/1) - struck out four in 2.0 innings at North Dakota State (5/5) and four in 3.0 innings at Iowa (5/9) without allowing a hit or a run - hit 3-for-4 with an RBI at Iowa (5/10) - 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, two runs and an RBI against Michigan State (5/15) - made his first career start on the mound against Michigan State, tossing a season-high 3.2 innings, striking out two and allowing three runs on seven hits and a walk (5/16).

2014 - FRESHMAN SEASON:

Made 12 starts and appeared in 21 games - batted .304 with a .385 on base percentage in 46 at-bats - in his last nine games of the season, went 9-21 (.429). Game Highlights: Picked up his first career hit against Northern Illinois (2/15), also collecting two walks and two runs - went 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored at Louisiana Tech (3/2) - collected his first two RBIs, including the game-winner, against Purdue (5/9) - hit 4-for-8 in two games that series, scoring the tying run in the finale - went 3-for-4 at Indiana (5/17) - made eight relief pitching appearances, going 2-1 - pitched 15.1 innings with an 8.80 ERA - struck out 13 batters, while walking 14 - threw 3.1 innings of one-run ball at Louisiana Tech (3/1), striking out a career high five batters - relieved another 3.1 innings the next week against Coastal Carolina (3/8), allowing only two hits and one run.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Graduated from St. Paul Academy in 2013 - played for coaches Mike Brown and Kirk Morris - three-time all-metro and Tri-Metro Conference selection - 2013 Mr. Baseball finalist, Minnesota Class 2A Player of the Year and Section 4AA Player of the Year - batted .439 as a senior, with nine extra-base hits - also had a 0.52 ERA and 39 strikeouts, and threw a one-hitter - hit .547 as a junior (.613 OBP and .688 SLG) with 20 RBI and 26 steals - went 7-1 on the mound with a 0.23 ERA and 103 strikeouts - played for the Minnesota Blizzard in the offseason - played for the East in the 2013 Play Ball! Minnesota High School All-Star Series.

PERSONAL:
Plans to major in kinesiology - son of Anne Phillips and Charles Fiedler - has two younger sisters, Molly and Kelly - both of his parents played soccer at Middlebury College - says his greatest sports thrill is coming through the losers bracket to win the 16-year-old state tournament - enjoys spending time on the lakes - born March 22, 1995.
