2016 - JUNIOR SEASON:
Named All-Big Ten First Team - led the team with a .374 batting average, .621 slugging percentage, .445 on-base clip and 11 home runs - recorded 31 hits in 23 games in conference play - maintained a team-best 26-game on-base streak from Feb. 28-April 29 - tallied 23 multi-hit games - given the team's annual David Chelesnik Jr. Memorial Award. Game Highlights: Went 5-for-11 with three doubles and three RBI in the opening weekend against Utah, Utah Valley and Oregon State (2/19-2/21) - hit 2-for-5 with an RBI-double in the series-clinching win at Campbell (2/28) - went 6-for-11 with four RBI, two doubles and a home run in series at Georgia State - picked up four hits, including two doubles, to go along with four RBI in first three games of series at Seattle U (3/11-3/14) - went 5-for-5 with three runs, two RBI and one homer to become first player since 2010 to notch five hits in a game at series finale at Seattle U (3/16) - tallied an RBI single and scored a run at Utah Valley (3/18) - collected three hits, including one home run at No. 23 Missouri State (3/25-3/26) - launched a homer in the midst of a 2-for-4 performance against Saint Mary's (3/30) - tallied three hits, including a solo home run in series win against Iowa (4/1-4/3) - collected four hits, including one double, to go along with three runs and two RBI in doubleheader sweep at No. 25 Michigan (4/8) - scored a run in all three games and added an RBI double against Maryland (4/15-4/17) - tabbed Big Ten Player of the Week after going 7-for-14 with seven RBI, including two home runs and a double, at Northwestern (4/22-4/24) - launched a two-run homer en route to securing the series at Illinois (5/1) - collected six hits, including two roundtrippers, and scored four runs in a series sweep versus Kansas (5/3-5/4) - smacked five singles in the home series against Indiana (5/6-5/8) - drilled two RBI hits in series sweep at Purdue (5/13-5/15) - rattled off six hits and scored four runs in series against Ohio State (5/19-5/21) - picked up an RBI single versus Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament (5/26) - reached base safely in all five plate appearances, including 4-for-4 at the plate with an RBI double, and scored two runs against Wake Forest (6/5) - notched two run-scoring hits, including a double, and was hit by a pitch at Texas A&M (6/5).

SUMMER BASEBALL:
Played for the St. Cloud Rox in the Northwoods League - played in 61 games in the field and as the designated hitter - hit .286 and slugged .398 in 231 at-bats - recorded 66 hits, including 11 doubles, five home runs and one triple - added 43 RBI which led the team - participated in the NWL Home Run Challenge during the All-Star Break - played in the NWL Major League Showcase.

2015 - SOPHOMORE SEASON:
Played in 39 games - made 23 starts, including 13 at first base and eight at catcher - batted .286, scored 10 runs and notched nine RBIs - hit .346 with seven runs and eight RBIs in conference play. Game Highlights: Hit 2-for-4 to with one run and an RBI to start Big Ten play at Maryland (3/21) - in his first start at first base, hit 2-for-4 with a double, one run and two RBIs against Northwestern (3/27) - hit 4-for-5 with a season-high two runs and an RBI at Rutgers (4/4) - had a season high three RBIs in a 1-for-4 performance in the second game of the doubleheader at Rutgers (4/4) - hit 2-for-4 with a run scored against Michigan (4/26) - went 2-for-4 against UC Irvine (5/3) and at Iowa (5/10).

2014 - FRESHMAN SEASON:

Named to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team - hit .277 with a .337 slugging percentage and .344 on base percentage - played in 27 games, including 24 starts - was limited by injury after making eight starts at catcher, but returned behind the plate for seven more games later in the season - also served as designated hitter in several games. Game Highlights: After his catching debut against Northern Illinois (2/15), tallied two hits each in his next three games - hit 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI against Creighton (2/21) - hit 2-for-5 at Iowa (4/25) - in his first start at catcher since returning from an injury, hit 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI against NDSU (4/15) - hit his first collegiate home run against Penn State (4/25) - batted 2-for-4 at No. 5 Florida State (5/3).

HIGH SCHOOL:
Graduated from Rocori High School in 2013 - played for coach Jeff Illies - part of Rocori's state championship team in 2010 - a three-time All-Central Lakes selection - entered the 2013 state tournament with a .305 batting average and 15 RBI - batted .489 with three home runs in American Legion ball in 2012 - played for the North in the 2013 Play Ball! Minnesota High School All-Star Series - also played football and hockey.

PERSONAL:
Recreation, park and leisure studies major - son of Brian and Sheila Athmann - has an older sister, Paige - lists winning the state tournament as a freshman as his most memorable sports thrill - enjoys snowmobiling and wakeboarding - born April 27, 1995.
