Minnesota opens the regular season at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3 when it hosts Eastern Illinois at Huntington Bank Stadium
The University of Minnesota football team had 10 players named to the 2027 Shriners Children's 1000 Watch List today.
The annual watch list serves as a look into the East-West Shrine Bowl's scouting process and features college players who are currently all-star game eligible for the 2027 East-West Shrine Bowl and 2027 NFL Draft class.
The Gophers who were named to the Shriners Children's 1000 were Maverick Baranowski, Ashton Beers, Kerry Brown, TJ Bush Jr., Greg Johnson, Drake Lindsey, John Nestor, Anthony Smith, Darius Taylor and Javon Tracy.
The Shrine Bowl will be held on February 4, 2027, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
