Hemp, Jordan Invited to USA Hockey Development Camp

MINNEAPOLIS – Layla Hemp and Molly Jordan have been invited to the 2026 USA Hockey National Goaltending and Women's Defense Development Camp, USA Hockey announced Friday.
Hemp earned an invitation as one of 26 goaltenders selected for the camp, while Jordan was one of 12 defenders invited from across the country. The multi-day development camp will take place May 18-21 at the NSC Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota.
The camp will feature on-ice and off-ice skill development, video training, team-building exercises and mental performance activities. Participants will work alongside experienced coaches and staff from USA Hockey, the NHL, NCAA and USHL.
Hemp recently completed her freshman season with the Gophers, appearing in 13 games with 11 starts during the 2025-26 campaign. The Chanhassen, Minn., native posted a 7-3-0 record in net while recording a 2.14 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage with one shutout.
Jordan wrapped up her junior season after skating in all 39 games for the Maroon and Gold in 2025-26. The Berlin, Conn., native totaled 16 points on four goals and 12 assists while posting a +20 rating and blocking 62 shots, the second-most on the team.
USA Hockey's goaltending programming will be led by David Lassonde, USA Hockey's national goaltending coach, Steve Thompson, USA Hockey's manager of goaltending development, and Alli Altmann, goaltending coach for the U.S. Women's National Team. Courtney Kennedy, head coach of the U.S. Under-18 Women's National Team, will oversee the defense portion of the camp.
