The Mounds View graduate was tabbed as the conference's Field Athlete of the Week.

MINNEAPOLIS -- For the first time redshirt junior Hadley Streit has been tabbed as the Big Ten's Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Wednesday. The recognition is the seventh for the program between the indoor and outdoor campaigns in 2025-26.

The weekly honor for Streit is the first of her impressive career with the Maroon and Gold. Streit's honor comes after the Gopher claimed the Torrin Lawrence Memorial women's hammer throw win with a toss of 69.72m (228-9). Streit's winning throw was the best in the NCAA this past weekend and gave the Saint Paul, Minn., native her second victory of the season (116th Drake Relays). Overall this season Streit holds a season-best of 71.98m (236-2) from the Tom Jones Memorial in Gainesville, Fla. At 71.98m (236-2) Streit is ranked No. 3 in the NCAA this season and No. 2 all-time in Big Ten history just behind teammate Anthonett Nabwe

Between indoor and outdoor Minnesota's seven weekly conference honors have been won by Streit, Nabwe (five times) and Zeal Kuku (one time).

The Big Ten Outdoor Championships will be contested in Lincoln, Neb., from May 15-17. For more information on the conference championships, click here.
