Minnesota competed in three meets over a four-day period this week.
MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Minnesota track and field team produced four different program top 10 performances over a four-day competition period where the team competed in three different meets. Rejoice Agbewodie and Kennedy Martinson along with the men's 4x100m relay team and women's 4x400m relay team registered marks that improved, or put them into the program's all-time top 10, at the Torrin Lawrence Memorial in Athens, Ga., at Spec Towns Track.
The men's 4x100m relay, which claimed the event win, clocked a 38.75 with the team of Zion Campbell, John Caleb, Aaron Charles and Charles Godfred. Saturday's relay was the first with that group of men and goes down as the No. 4 time in school history and the third different relay in 2026 below 39 seconds for Minnesota. Earlier this season Minnesota's 4x100m relay clocked a 38.69, as well as 38.82.
Martinson's 400m hurdles performance was a lifetime best by just 0.03 seconds, but improved her No. 5 all-time standing at Minnesota in just her fourth career attempt at the event. Her 57.63 was good enough for third overall at the Torrin Lawrence Memorial.
Agbewodie's javelin toss on Saturday in Athens moved the first-year Gopher to No. 9 all-time in the event. A native of Ghana, Agbewodie's 51.55m (169-1) toss came on her final attempt of the competition and helped her finish in fourth place and moves her to No. 7 in the Big Ten this season.
The women's 4x400m relay quartet of Zeal Kuku, Kennedy Martinson, Kitania Headley and Nontokozo Ncube clocked a 3:35.71 to improve on their No. 9 all-time standing at Minnesota. The team finished third overall on Saturday with the time of 3:35.71, which is the seventh-fastest in the Big Ten this outdoor season.
During the four-days of competition it was Hadley Streit who picked up two wins in the same event - the women's hammer throw. Streit started the week with a 65.09m (213-6) at the Joe Sweeney Invitational on Wednesday in St. Paul, Minn., and then flew to Athens to pick up a win with a toss of 69.72m (228-9) at the Torrin Lawrence Memorial. Streit's third-round toss of 69.72m (228-9) at Spek Towns Track was also a facility record.
Zoie Dundon led the way for the Maroon and Gold at Hamline's Meet of the UnSaintly with her win in the 1500m. Minnesota's distance team ended up with 16 of the top 17 times at Klas Field on Friday night with Dundon's impressive 4:15.60 being the top time in the field. Emmett Gerres won the same event on the men's side with a lifetime best 1500m time of 3:43.29, just a second off the program all-time top 10. This season Gerres is inside the Big Ten's top 21 in the 3000m steeplechase, 1500m and the 5000m.
Other notable wins throughout the week included: Angelos Mantzouranis's 72.70m (238-6) at the Joe Sweeney Invitational, Wanyae Belle's 10.38 in the 100m at the Joe Sweeney Invitational, Aidan Jones' 14:04.41 in the 5000m at Hamline's Meet of the UnSaintly, Charles Godfred's 7.78m (25-6 1/4) in the long jump at Georgia, Tony Nelson's 18.03m (59-2) in the shot put at Georgia and Hakeem Ford's 15.72m (51-7) triple jump in Athens, Ga.
