GopherSports.com: Women's Basketball earned a No. 4 seed and will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament. Minnesota will face Green Bay on Friday at 5PM, while Ole Miss and Gonzaga will meet at 2:30PM. The winners will play on Sunday for a trip to the Sweet Sixteen.

- March 18, 2000: Brock Lesnar beat Iowa's Wes Hand, 3-2, to win the NCAA heavyweight title in his final match as a Gopher.
