STARTING FIVE
• The Golden Gopher men's basketball team is back on the road when it faces No. 3 Michigan Tuesday night. Minnesota trails the all-time series, 94-65, but has won the past two meetings. Minnesota's last victory came at Williams Arena in an 84-81 overtime thriller. In those two games, the Gophers' win margin was five points. Minnesota won in Ann Arbor, Mich., on Jan. 4, 2024, 73-71.
• Minnesota (13-14, 6-10) is coming off an 80-61 win over Rutgers on Saturday, making that two-straight Big Ten wins. The Gophers shot a season-best 60 percent from the field and made 15-of-26 (.577) three-pointers. This marked the most threes in a game this season, and the largest margin of victory over a Big Ten team since 2021. These 15 threes also ranked fourth in school history. All five starters scored in double figures for Minnesota, playing over 35 minutes each.
• Cade Tyson made 7-of-9 three-pointers to finish with 27 points and 10 rebounds vs. Rutgers. It was his 11th game with 20-plus points and his second game this season with over seven threes. Tyson also established his 1,500 career points and 500th career rebound in the win. On the season, Tyson ranks sixth in the Big Ten in scoring (19.5 ppg). He has also scored double-figure scoring in all 26 of his Gopher games.
• Langston Reynolds had 19 points and nine assists in the Rutgers win. This marked his 18th game in double-figures for points this season, including 11 of the past 14 games for him. Reynolds also posted his 11th game with five or more assists this year.
• Since joining the starting lineup, Grayson Grove has scored double digits in back-to-back games. Against Oregon, he set a career-high with 13 points and eight rebounds and followed with 11 points, eight rebounds vs. Rutgers. Previously, Grove averaged 15 minutes per game, mainly off the bench, but now logs 34 minutes as a redshirt freshman. Over those three games, he is averaging 9.3 points and 6.3 rebounds.
AGAINST MICHIGAN
• Minnesota is 65-94 all time dating back to 1918. In Ann Arbor, Mich., the Gophers are 22-57.
• Last year, Dawson Garcia's hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer from the edge of the midcourt logo to give Minnesota its first Big Ten win of the season in a come-from-behind 84-81 overtime upset against then-No. 20/19 Michigan at Williams Arena. Garcia finished with 27 points and 12 rebounds.

• One of the top programs in Division I this season, the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines enter the Minnesota game with a 25-2 overall record and 15-1 in Big Ten play. Michigan is coming off a 68-63 road loss to Duke Saturday. Prior to that, the Wolverines won 11 straight.
• Yaxel Lendeborg leads the Wolverines in scoring averaging 14.6 points, while Morez Johnson Jr., is the Big Ten's most efficient shooter at 66.2 percent and averages 13.5 points. Aday Mara holds a league-best 73 blocks and averages 2.7 per game while averaging 11.2 points. Elliot Cadeau averages 10 points, is shooting 39.1 percent from three and ranks fourth in the league in assists with 150.
