Gophers Close Day Two at ITA Central Regional Championship

Memphis, Tenn- The University of Minnesota tennis program completed its second day of the 2026 ITA Central Regional Championships. Eight Gophers competed in singles on Friday, with three playing in the main round, one in the B draw and four in the qualifying consolation round. For Minnesota, six student-athletes participated in the main doubles draw while two competed in the consolation round.

In the qualifying consolation round Ante earned a victory against University of Arkansas-Fayetteville's Anastasija Adeikyte 6-2, 6-3, while Liepert fell to Nebraska's Rizzetto 4-6, 6-2, 7-10. Kocevar lost to Arkansas State's Helena Bueno 6-7, 1-6. Knezevic defeated University of Iowa's Clare Schaefer 4-6, 7-5, 10-8.
