New Foods, Game Themes and More Entry Points Await Minnesota Fans in Advance of 2025 Season

Minnesota kicks off the season against Buffao at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, at Huntington Bank Stadium
The University of Minnesota football team will open its season at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, at Huntington Bank Stadium when the Gophers host Buffalo on FS1 and the Gopher Radio Network.
This past offseason has seen a number of new enhancements and initiatives at the stadium that Gopher fans can look forward to this year. Single-game tickets are available for Minnesota's 2025 home schedule. Tickets start as low as $30 and are on sale now.
Game Themes
The 2025 Gopher Football season will feature a variety of unique game themes at all seven home games. The season starts with the return of the popular Gold Out on Thursday, Aug. 28 vs. Buffalo. The Maroon Out game will be on Saturday, Sept. 27 vs. Rutgers and we will Stripe the Bank for Homecoming against Purdue on Oct. 11.
Additional game themes include Champions Day, High School Band, Cheer, and Dance Day, Family Weekend, Celebrate Ag & Food Day, Gopher Score Day, Salute to Service, Senior Day and more. The full schedule of game themes can be found here.
Expanded Food & Beverage Offerings & Concessions Experience
Fans will be able to enjoy a variety of new food and beverage offerings throughout the stadium this season. This includes new menu items like the MN Hot Pastrami (Sec. 140), Pizza Mac n' Cheese (Sec. 109), Jalapeño Popper Brisket Grilled Cheese (Sec. 135) and more. This year will also feature full-service bars in all premium areas as well as bottle service on the suite level featuring a variety of liquor options.
There is also an increased emphasis on speed of service this year, as Walk Thru Bru expanded with more than 20 locations throughout the stadium. Hall of Favs, debuted in 2024 near sections 110 & 139, returns with additional product offerings for fans to quickly and efficiently select their favorite stadium staple and return to their seat.
Credit Up! Season Ticket Holder Benefit
This unique benefit is available to all Gopher Football season ticket holders as part of the Gopher Ticket Utilization program. This program allows season ticket holders to return their tickets to the athletics department for any games they are unable to attend in exchange for credit that can be applied toward their season ticket renewal or converted into a tax-deductible donation to support Gopher Athletics.
Parking & Transportation Updates
This year, a limited amount of valet parking has been added for premium seat holders. Passes can be purchased in advance through the Gopher Ticket Office, based on availability. Pass holders will be able to drop their vehicle at the assigned VIP valet drop-off location near University Ave., on the south side of the stadium near the Benton County entrance.
Fans will also notice construction nearing completion on University Ave. between Oak Street and I-35W as part of a county project. The 4th Street SE portion of the project was completed in 2024. Fans are encouraged to allocate more time if traveling on University Ave.
Huntington Bank Stadium Facility Enhancements
Gopher Garden presented by Huntington Bank will feature new youth-friendly activities, give-a-ways, games, music and more. Challenge your friends by playing the new 2025 EA Sports College Football game as part of the pre-game fan fest.
The Pride of Minnesota Marching Band and University of Minnesota Spirit Squad will continue to perform near the entrance to 3M Arena at Mariucci approximately 75 minutes before kickoff.
Additional entry gates and entry lanes have been added around Huntington Bank Stadium to provide more options for fans entering the stadium.
The popular Gopher Hour returns this year and features discounted food and beverages on the West Plaza during the first hour after public gates are open. This will be available at all home games this year.
The T. Denny Sanford Hall of Fame inside Huntington Bank Stadium will also be open during the fourth quarter of all home games.
