Gophers Set to Compete in Summer International Competition

MINNEAPOLIS - Fourteen Golden Gopher women's hockey players will represent their home countries in international competition this summer, highlighted by the 2025 Collegiate Series between the United States and Canada and the upcoming 2025–26 Women's Euro Hockey Tour.
Minnesota leads all programs with seven selections to the U.S. Collegiate Women's Select Team, which will face Canada's National Women's Development Team in a three-game series at the historic 1980 Rink in Lake Placid, N.Y. Returning seniors Sydney Morrow and Madison Kaiser are joined by returning junior Ava Lindsey for Team USA. Four newcomers to the Maroon and Gold have received selections to the U.S. team including freshmen Bella Fanale and Layla Hemp, junior transfer Molly Jordan, and graduate transfer Jamie Nelson.
Three more Gophers will be skating for Team Canada during this year's Collegiate Series. Among the participating players are returning sophomore Hannah Clark, incoming freshman Sienna D'Alessandro, and redshirt senior transfer Sarah Paul.
The three-game series kicks off at 4:30 p.m. CT on Aug. 13, followed by a 1:30 p.m. CT puck drop the following day. The series winds down with a final showdown on Friday, Aug. 16 at 4:30 p.m. CT.
In addition, four Gophers will skate in the 2025–26 Women's Euro Hockey Tour. Recent graduate Natálie Mlýnková and incoming freshman Tereza Plosová will represent Team Czechia, senior Nelli Laitinen will play for Team Finland, and Josefin Bouveng will represent Team Sweden. The tour begins in Kloten, Switzerland from Aug. 28–30, continues in Ängelholm, Sweden from Nov. 5–8, and wraps up in Tampere, Finland from Dec. 11–15.
