COLUMBUS, Ohio – Junior golfer Isabella McCauley finished her third and final round of the NCAA Columbus Regional today. The Minnesota native shot an even-par 72 to finish her time at the Ohio State University Scarlet Course.
The junior carded three birdies and 12 pars in her third round to finish the event tied for 18th. Her three-day score of 75-73-72-220 (+4) came up short, as she will not advance to the NCAA Championship.
"Another great season for Bella," said head coach Matt Higgins. "To make regionals for the third time in three years says a lot about her and her game. Her ball striking this week was the best that I've seen. She just needed a couple more putts to drop, and she would've been right there. Super proud of her and how she ended this season!"
The lone Golden Gopher to qualify for NCAA postseason play for the second consecutive year, McCauley capped off a successful season in Maroon and Gold. In the 2024-25 season, she received all-conference honors and has earned five top-ten finishes during her junior campaign.
The five teams advancing to the NCAA Championship are Kansas, Arkansas, Ohio State, UNLV, and LSU. Kansas's Lyla Louderbaugh was crowned champion of the Columbus Regional with a score of 12-under-par.
