McCauley Completes Day Two of Columbus Regional

COLUMBUS, Ohio – University of Minnesota junior Isabella McCauley wrapped up the second round of the NCAA Columbus Regional today. McCauley shot an improved round between sessions, shedding two strokes from her 18 holes to finish day two with a 73 (+1). McCauley currently sits second among the six individual competitors, four strokes behind Harvard's Vanessa Zhang, as she competes for a spot in the NCAA Championship.

The junior started her second round with two birdies and five pars. She tallied five pars and an additional birdie on the back nine to propel her up the leaderboard 23 places. McCauley sits tied for 21st headed into the final round with a two day score of 75-73-148 (+4). 

The top five teams heading into the final round are Arkansas, UNLV, Kansas, Ohio State, and SMU. Lyla Louderbaugh (Kansas) is the top individual with a score of five-under-par.

The final round of the NCAA Columbus Regional will be played tomorrow, May 7, with McCauley teeing off at 8:50 a.m. CT. The top five teams and the lowest-scoring individual among the six individuals unattached to a team will advance to the NCAA Championship.
