MINNEAPOLIS – The No. 2-ranked University of Minnesota women's hockey team's Hannah Clark has been named the WCHA Goaltender of the Month for October, the league announced Wednesday. The honor marks the first monthly conference award of Clark's career.
The sophomore netminder from Oshawa, Ontario, was outstanding throughout October, posting a .957 save percentage and a 1.36 goals-against average, while earning a 7-1-0 record and two shutouts. Clark also collected two WCHA Goaltender of the Week awards during the month.
Clark began her strong stretch with a 24-save shutout against then-No. 13 Boston University on Oct. 3, before recording another 24-save clean sheet in a 4-0 victory over No. 4/5 Minnesota Duluth on Oct. 24. She capped the month with a stellar 40-save performance in Minnesota's 5-1 win at No. 1 Wisconsin on Oct. 31, helping the Gophers earn their first win in Madison since 2021.
Following its first bye week of the 2025-26 campaign, Minnesota returns home to Ridder Arena for a two-game WCHA series against Bemidji State. The weekend begins with the second annual Field Trip Day game, presented by Kwik Trip, on Friday, Nov. 14 at 12:00 p.m. CT, followed by a 2:00 p.m. CT puck drop on Saturday, Nov. 15. Both games will stream live on B1G+.
