MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Minnesota Gophers track & field programs announced both their indoor and outdoor schedules for the upcoming 2025-26 season. The team will compete in a total of 27 regular season meets between the indoor and outdoor campaigns, with six of those being at home.

INDOOR
The Golden Gophers indoor schedule kicks off in early December with the M City Classic, from December 5-6, in Minneapolis at the Minnesota Fieldhouse, a 200-meter, six-lane track that was opened in 2018. A month later Minnesota kicks off its 2026 indoor schedule with the Minnesota Open on January 10.

Minnesota's first road trip will be to the Graduate Classic from January 16-17, at the University of Nebraska. Minnesota will remain on the road for three more meets in the month of January with the Red Raider Invitational at Texas Tech University on January 23, the Vanessa Seljeskog Classic on January 24 at Macalester College, along with the Meyo Invitational at the University of Notre Dame from January 30-31. Minnesota will also host the Jack Johnson Classic on January 30 at home.

February's indoor schedule will consist of two home meets, the Gopher Classic on February 7, and the Snowshoe open on February 20. Additionally, the Gophers will head to the Fairgrounds Invitational in Indianapolis from February 6-7. The 'U' will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., from February 13-14 for the Tyson Invitational, which will be the final regular season road trip for the Maroon and Gold indoors.

The indoor postseason schedule starts on February 26, with the Big Ten Championships that run until February 28 in Indianapolis. Then, for qualifying student-athletes, the NCAA Indoor Championships will be from March 13-14, in Fayetteville, Ark.

OUTDOOR
The outdoor track and field season begins on March 6-7, with the Beach Opener, at Long Beach State University. Two weeks later the Maroon and gold will continue their outdoor campaign with the USF Alumni Invite (March 20-21) with a week later the distance crew taking their talents back to the Raleigh Relays from March 26-28.

The month of April starts with the Hamline Open on April 1 before the team heads to Baton Rouge from April 3-4 at the Battle of the Bayou. The Maroon and Gold will have road meets at Azusa Pacific with the Bryan Clay Invitational, the Tom Jones Invitational at the University of Florida as well as a trip to Des Moines for the Drake Relays. In between the major trips in April the Gophers will also compete in the Twin Cities at the Bethel Invitational (April 11), Concordia-St. Paul Invite (April 18), the Gary Wilson Invite (April 22) as well as meets at Macalester College (April 25) and St. Thomas (April 29).

In May postseason action will begin, but not before another meet at Hamline (May 1) and a road meet at the University of Georgia (May 2). The 2026 Big Ten Outdoor Championships will be held in Lincoln, Neb., from March 14-16. The NCAA West Regional will be held by the University of Arkansas from May 27-30. The NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will conclude the college outdoor track and field season from June 10-13, in Eugene, Ore., at Hayward Field.
