NASSAU - After defeating South Florida on Monday, the University of Minnesota women's basketball team (5-1, 0-0 Big Ten) will face the Alabama Crimson Tide (6-0, 0-0 SEC) for the first time in program history on Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. CT and will stream live on FloSports. Fans can listen on KFAN+, with Justin Gaard and Lynnette Sjoquist on the call.

- Minnesota defeated South Florida 57-45. With the win, the Maroon and Gold advance to the championship game against Alabama on Wednesday.
- Head coach Dawn Plitzuweit earned her 50th win on Monday, tying Ellen Mosher Hanson as the third-fastest head coach in program history to reach 50 career wins at Minnesota. She did so in 78 games.
- The Gophers had three players score in double figures, led by Grace Grocholski with 14 points and two steals. Mara Braun added 11 points and two blocks, and Brylee Glenn chipped in 10 points and four assists.
- Sophie Hart pulled down 10 rebounds against the Bulls, one shy of her career high. She recorded 11 against Rutgers last January.

Baha Mar annually plays host to one of the largest regular-season events in the sport of college basketball. Each November around the Thanksgiving holiday, 20 NCAA Division I men's and women's teams visit the stunning resort to compete in various basketball tournaments. In total, 20 games will be played over an 11-day span.
