MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota wrestling team is scheduled to appear on the Big Ten Network two times this upcoming season, the conference and network announced Wednesday.Â
In addition, the Gophers confirmed start times for all home meets this year. Season tickets are on sale now, while single-match tickets will be available in the near future.
Minnesota's home slate starts on Tuesday, Nov. 25 with a 7 p.m. dual versus South Dakota State, while North Dakota State visits on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 1 p.m.
The Gophers' first appearance on the Big Ten Network comes on Friday, Jan. 16 when they host Nebraska at 8 p.m. in the home conference opener.
The following week on Jan. 23, Minnesota makes its second and final appearance on BTN when it hosts Ohio State at 6 p.m.
The final home duals take place on Sunday, Jan., 25 against Wisconsin and Sunday, Feb. 15 versus Michigan State. Both matches are set to start at 1 p.m.
Big Ten Network will also showcase Minnesota and the rest of the conference at the 2026 Big Ten Championships in State College, Pa., March 7-8.Â
All home matches not televised by Big Ten Network are scheduled to stream on B1G+, which does require a subscription. Start times for road duals will be determined and announced by the host institutions.
Minnesota returns five starters from last year's team that finished tied for fifth at the NCAA Championships, including All-Americans in redshirt sophomore Max McEnelly (184 pounds) and redshirt senior Vance VomBaur (141). Minnesota also brings back national qualifiers in sixth-year senior Andrew Sparks (165) and redshirt junior Clayton Whiting (174), plus last year's starter at 149 pounds Drew Roberts, a redshirt senior.
In addition, the team welcomes in a pair of transfers in two-time All-American Chris Cannon (release) and 2024 All-American Jore Volk (release), plus true freshmen Brett Swenson (release) and Charles Vanier (release).
Minnesota opens the 2025-26 season this Sunday when it travels to Salem, Va., for the Southeast Open.
