University of Minnesota equipment manager Brent Proulx enters his 11th season working with the swimming/diving, tennis, and women’s hockey programs.  During his time at Minnesota, Proulx has been part of two NCAA Championships (2015, 2016) with women’s hockey.

In addition to working with Golden Gopher athletes, Proulx was equipment manager with a number of USA Hockey select and National teams at various levels, including U20 IIHF World Junior Championships (2009) and Men’s IIHF World Championships (2010). 

Proulx was equipment manager for the USA Hockey Women’s National Team from 2011-2023, participating in three Winter Olympics (2014 Silver medal, 2018 Gold medal, 2022 Silver medal) and a part of five Gold medal winning teams at the IIHF Women’s World Championships (2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017).

Previous to the University of Minnesota, Proulx spent nine seasons working as assistant equipment manager with the Minnesota Wild (2000-2010).  In addition to his time with the Wild, he worked on the team staff that hosted the 2004 NHL All-Star Game and 2004 World Cup of Hockey.

A native of Saint Paul, Proulx got his start as clubhouse/equipment manager with the St. Paul Saints baseball club (1993-2000).

Brent and his wife, Jamie, reside in Saint Paul and have three children, daughter Sophia, and sons Max and Sam.
