Michelle (Traen) Traversie has been with the University of Minnesota since September of 2001 and currently works with the men's basketball team. She also assists with media coordination of league and NCAA Championships, the Gopher Athletic Communications student program as well as community relations, student-athlete development and external events. During her Minnesota career, Traversie has also been the sport contact for volleyball, baseball, women's hockey, men's and women's swimming and diving, rowing and women's tennis teams.
A 2000 graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, Traversie earned her bachelor of arts degree in mass communications with an emphasis in journalism and a minor in marketing. She was an undergraduate intern and a graduate assistant in the sports information department at MSU prior to her arrival at Minnesota.
