Josh Wolanin was named Information Security Director for Gopher Athletics in July 2025. In this role, he oversees the department’s information security track, developing key risk indicators and strategic initiatives to protect Gopher Athletics' infrastructure.

During the inaugural year of the program, Josh successfully moved Athletics' Information Security from a high-risk legacy profile to a stabilized, security-mature environment . A veteran of the department, he previously served as a Senior Systems Administrator and Security Engineer and has been with the University since 2012.
