• Mom Kristen was on the women's gymnastics team at Minnesota from 1994-97, including helping the Gophers reach the NCAA Championships for the first time in program history
• Mom Kristen was named to the Minnesota Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2007
• Dad Stuart played on the men's hockey at the 'U' from 1998-2001, as a winger
• Dad Stuart played in a total of 140 games, scored 23 goals, added 19 assists for a total of 42 points and reached the NCAA Tournament in 2001
• Uncle Mark Vandersall was on the Gopher baseball team from 1992-95 and was named a Mizuno Freshman All-America Honorable Mention in 1992
