2025 Outdoor Track & Field • Junior Season: Participated in nine outdoor meets during the season and made his debut in uniform on March 8, at the Arizona Spring Break Fiesta... Ended the 2025 season as the third leg of the school-record 4x100m relay team (38.16)... Helped the 'U' to its highest team finish at the NCAA Championships (7th - 25 points) since 1948... Ran third on Minnesota's 4x100m relay all season, and helped qualify to its first 4x100m relay NCAA final in program history by running the sixth-fastest time in collegiate history in the NCAA Outdoor Championships semifinal (38.16)... The 38.16 4x100m relay time goes down as the fastest by a Big Ten school in conference history... Helped Minnesota's 38.88 in the NCAA Outdoor Championships 4x100m relay final to finish seventh overall... Minnesota's 4x100m relay time of 38.54 broke the Big Ten Outdoor Championships meet record time that was previously held by the Gophers in 2023 in Bloomington, Ind.... In his debut at the Arizona Spring Break Fiesta helped win the 4x100m relay (38.78) and won the 200m in a time of 20.66 (+0.3 m/s)... Ran a wind-legal lifetime best 100m at the Bethel Invitational, winning in a time of 10.42 (+0.2 m/s)... PRIOR TO MINNESOTA
Two seasons spent with Barton, Aaron Charles adds more sprint talent to the Gophers lineup. He finished as a four-time NJCAA All-American, twice with the 4x100m relay team, once in the 60m and once in the indoor 200m. Charles put down his lifetime best in the 60m at the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at 6.70 and finished sixth in the final. In the 200m Charles put down a season best of 20.75 indoors and finished as the bronze medalist nationally. Outdoors Charles brings in a lifetime best 100m time of 10.32 (+2.4 m/s), which he set back in 2023.
