• Seventh-overall selection in the first round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders
• Currently playing 17th NHL season (9 - New York Islanders, 8 - Buffalo Sabres)
• Became seventh player in Minnesota history to play in 1,000 career NHL games (Nov. 14, 2023)
• Recorded 51 points (26 goals, 25 assists) in 58 career outings for the Gophers between 2006-07
• Posted a breakout, 40-point freshman campaign that earned All-WCHA Second Team and All-WCHA Rookie Team honors in 2006-07
• Ten of his goals for Minnesota came on the power play, while four went down as game winners
