2025 Outdoor Track & Field • Sophomore Season: Continued dominating the collegiate college circuit in the long jump in second season in Minneapolis where he competed in 12 outdoor meets between the months of March and September of 2025... Qualified for the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan, in the long jump for his home country of Nigeria where he finished 24th overall after qualifying as the 36th and final participant... Claimed his second-straight Big Ten long jump championship at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., with a wind-legal leap of 8.05m (26-5)... At the NCAA Outdoor Championships improved from sixth in 2024 to fourth in 2025 in the long jump to earn First Team All-America status once again with a final mark of 7.91m (25-11 1/2)... Qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a NCAA West Regional winning-mark of 8.10m (26-7), which was the No. 2 long jump mark in NCAA West Regional history... Ran a lifetime best 100m time of 10.36 (+2.3 m/s) at the LSU Invitational... Posted a season-best, wind-aided, long jump mark of 8.13m (26-8 1/4) at the Drake Relays to claim the victory over a field of countless professionals... 2024 Outdoor Track & Field • Freshman Season: Joined the Gophers in January, competed in eight outdoor meets during his first season in Dinkytown... Was crowned the Big Ten Champion in the long jump as a true freshman with a jump of 7.94m (26-0 3/4 | +1.5 m/s)... Earned First Team All-America laurels with a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., producing a mark of 7.90m (25-11 | +1.9 m/s)... Won the Nigerian Championship in the long jump with a wind-legal personal best mark of 8.16m (26-9 1/4 | +0.2 m/s)... Earned an NCAA Outdoor Championships berth by placing seventh at the NCAA West Regional in Fayetteville, Ark.... Won a Big Ten bronze medal as a member of the 4x100m relay team, clocking a season-best 39.50 in Ann Arbor, Mich.... Helped the Gophers place 18th overall in the 4x100m relay at the NCAA West Regional... Won four different meets in the long jump during the season which included the Clyde Hart Classic, the LSU Alumni Gold, the Desert Heat Classic and the Big Ten Championships... Set a wind-aided lifetime best mark of 8.19m (26-10 1/2 | +2.6 m/s) at the 44 Farms Team Invite to place second overall... Made his official debut at the Hurricane Invitational in Miami, running the 100m, 200m and participating in the long jump... Clocked personal bests of 10.41 (+1.8 m/s) in the 100m and 21.41 (-3.0 m/s) in the 200m during the outdoor season... Ended the season with the school record in the long jump (8.19m | 26-10 1/2), passing Keita Cline's 8.12m (26-7 3/4) back in 1995... Ended the season with the No. 10 100m time in school history (10.41) and the No. 3 4x100m relay time in Minnesota history (39.50).
PRIOR TO MINNESOTA
Prior to joining the Gophers, dropped a 100m time of 10.42 along with a long jump of 7.86m (25-9 1/2)... Won the African U20 Championship in the long jump with his lifetime best and finished third in the 100m at the 3rd African Golden League meet at Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, the federal capital territory of Nigeria.
