MAGIC
Maroon and Gold Impacting the Community (M.A.G.I.C.) is a volunteer program, supported in part by Abbott, specifically aimed to provide student-athletes with engaging and meaningful community service opportunities. The M.A.G.I.C. program provides opportunities for student-athletes to develop personal, professional, and leadership skills through outreach and serving the community.

Outcomes
M.A.G.I.C. as a transformative experience for student-athletes:

Personal Development
- Teaches student-athletes how service to others can have a profound and positive impact in the lives of those they serve and themselves.
- Provides a platform for student-athletes to represent Gopher Athletics and learn to positively share their experiences in person and utilizing media.
- Gives student-athletes the opportunity to share their talents and serve as role models for youth.

Professional Development
- Provides networking opportunities for student-athletes to establish diverse professional connections.
- Develops unique skills of organization, leadership, and collaboration to transfer to the workplace.

Leadership Development
- Encourages student-athletes to take initiative and properly manage their time.
- Provides opportunities to improve emotional intelligence and empathy with exposure to community service work for the development of the total person.
