MINNEAPOLIS – Graduate forward Abbey Murphy and senior defender Sydney Morrow have been named to the 2025-26 All-USCHO Division I Women's Hockey Teams, as announced by USCHO. Murphy earned First Team honors, while Morrow was named to the Second Team.
Murphy caps off a historic final season in Maroon and Gold with her third consecutive All-USCHO honor, adding a First Team selection after previously earning Second Team honors in 2024-25 and Third Team recognition in 2023-24. The Evergreen Park, Ill., native was one of the most dominant players in the nation, finishing with a career-high 66 points on 40 goals and 26 assists in just 31 games. She led the NCAA in both points per game (2.13) and goals per game (1.29), while pacing the WCHA in total goals.
A top-three finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Award and the WCHA Forward of the Year, Murphy earned CCM/AHCA First Team All-America and All-WCHA First Team honors. She recorded five hat tricks, 11 multi-goal games and 19 multi-point outings throughout the season, while posting a 17-game point streak from Oct. 25 through Jan. 24.
Murphy also etched her name into program history, becoming Minnesota's all-time goals leader on Feb. 28 against St. Cloud State and the program's all-time leader in game-winning goals earlier in the season. She finished her career ranked second all-time in points with 261 and became one of just five Gophers to score 40 or more goals in a single season.
On the blue line, Morrow earns her second career All-USCHO honor after being named to the Third Team in 2023-24. The defender was named to the Second Team this season following a standout senior campaign, appearing in all 39 games while ranking third nationally among defenders with 38 points. Her 30 assists were second-most in the country among defenders.
A top-three finalist for WCHA Defender of the Year and an All-WCHA Second Team selection, Morrow recorded 10 multi-point games and played a key role in all situations for the Gophers. She registered a team second-best +33 rating and blocked 57 shots, also second-most on the team.
Morrow reached a career milestone during the season, recording her 100th career point on Jan. 23 against St. Cloud State as part of a four-assist performance. She added five assists in the opening round of the WCHA Playoffs and contributed two assists in the NCAA Regional Final.
