Tyson Named NABC Second Team All-District

University of Minnesota senior Cade Tyson (Monroe, N.C.) was named Great Lakes Second Team All-District, announced today by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
Tyson leads the Golden Gophers in points (609), points per game (19.6), field goals (184), free throws (171) and attempts (207) this season. His 19.6 points per game rank sixth in the Big Ten in overall scoring, while his 609 points is seventh in the league. Tyson's 609 points this season rank seventh in school history for points in a season. His 609 points in a single season crushes his previous season best of 503 when he was at Belmont in the 2023-24 season.
In Big Ten action alone, Tyson averaged 17.5 points. On the season, Tyson has produced two 30-point games in his senior year, 15 20-point games and has scored double-figure points in each of his 31 games played. Tyson reached his 1,000th career point in the first game of the season and now sits at 1,602 points, with 521 career rebounds.
